The only thing such heroic individuals need in order to take their preferred upland game is Fiocchi’s 410 Bore ammunition. Fiocchi didn’t redesign the wheel on this one. This shell’s 11/16 ounces of #8 shot (~282 pellets) will have an instant and lethal effect on any quail it smacks in the gob. The box says “HIGH VELOCITY,” although 1,140 fps is really only barely subsonic. You’ll still get the range and stopping power you need in order to exert your supremacy over small game, but you’ll hardly feel the sting of recoil while you’re at it. This is a 3” shell. It’ll work in a 410/45 handgun so long as its chamber(s) is 3” long as well. Fiocchi’s quality primers and powder will keep any firearm clean and operational over the course of a hunt. And once those red 8mm-high brass hulls are empty, they’re still valuable as handloading components.
