But this Russian-made 380 ACP ammo is different. Its 95 grain FMJ bullet contains a lead core and a brass jacket – i.e. zero steel which could have attracted a magnet! That gives you the green light to fire this range and target ammo wherever you gosh darn please. Tula seats this ammo’s nonmagnetic FMJs in their standard and economical zinc-plated steel cases. Steel cases are not reloadable, and their inelasticity also means they permit more fouling. But steel is so much cheaper than brass that you’ll notice the price difference right away! This is Berdan-primed ammo, but it’s just as noncorrosive as the ammo which is loaded in America. You can pick up this cartridge with a magnet, but that is only because it has a steel case. The bullet itself contains no metals that can attract a magnet.
